New Attractions Revealed for Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are slated to get some amazing looking new attractions on 2020. Some of these new plans might be modifications of existing plans that we heard about a few years ago which included a Frozen area.

A Beauty and the Beast area of the park was previously in the plans but it looks like that idea has grown in scope. The new plans released today will see a large portion of Tomorrowland swallowed up by Fantasyland. Including the Grand Circuit Raceway and the Starjets, both set to close in 2017.

Top 5 Things to Look Forward to in 2016

2015 is a distant memory now. Onward and upward into 2016. Nearly every year for the foreseeable future will bring a noteworthy addition to the Orlando theme parks. Here are some good reasons to be excited to visit in 2016.

#5 Disney Springs expands
The transformation from Downtown Disney to Disney Springs wasn't an easy or a short one but the long nightmare is soon to be over. 2015 saw great additions like The Hangar Bar, Morimoto Asia and the Ganachery.

2016 will see the opening of the Town Center area of the expansion. It will bring with it loads of new shops like Pandora, Lilly Pulitzer, Edison, Sprinkles, Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza and many more. 2016 will be a great time to check out Disney Springs as most of the walls will be down and plenty of new storefronts will be open for business.

Grizzly Peak Expansion Adds Smokejumpers Grill

Earlier this year, Condor Flats closed at Disney's California Adventure to make way for an expansion of Grizzly Peak. The closure and makeover was an attempt to make the lands of California's second Disney park seem more cohesive.

Smokejumpers Grill will open on March 20th and mark the first phase of the updated land. The quick-service restaurant replaces Taste Pilot's Grill and will feature a new menu in addition to its new look. The previous location served a pretty basic assortment of burgers and sides, the new menu will feature a Bacon Cheddar Burger, Grilled Chicken & Jack Sandwich and Chili Cheeseburger.

Grizzly Peak will continue to be updated with building exteriors and landscaping featuring pine trees, which Disney hopes will give plenty of shade on those hot days and should greatly help with immersion in the land. Soarin' Over California is currently down and will see a facade refresh in addition to the screen and projection updates, similar to what was recently announced for Epcot's version.

Expansions Coming to Soarin' and Toy Story Mania

Rumors have been popping up for the last few months regarding even more expansions at Walt Disney World. Today those rumors were proven fact as Disney has announced expansions for Soarin' at Epcot and Toy Story Midway Mania at Hollywood Studios.

Midway Mania will receive an additional track which will occupy the adjacent Soundstage 1 that used to house Wandering Oaken's Trading Post.

Soarin' will add a third theater and in the process also update the screens and projection systems. Those updates are much needed as the quality of the film has degraded over time. That will presumably prepare the attraction for the rumored new film, "Soarin' Over the World".

Both updates are scheduled to be completed by late 2016. If Disney handles the construction right the downtime of these attractions should be minimal. In the case of Midway Mania, an extended downtime will not be tolerated as the park is already very sparse on attractions due to recent closures.
