Town Center at Disney Springs to Begin Opening May 15th, Most Stores Open by July 1st

The first entirely new location at the reimagined Disney Springs is set to open on May 15th. All of the many new retail locations will not be open at that time but you'll be able to take in the namesake of the new shopping district, the fresh water spring.

The majority of the stores in the new area will be open by July 1st of this year. The Town Center portion of Disney Springs will play host to a ton of new shops and restaurants. Disney recently revealed a list of over 30 new locations coming. Disney promises even more venues will be announced in the coming weeks so stay tuned.

Haunted Mansion and Fantasyland Tsum Tsum Coming Soon

When Tsum Tsum started to infiltrate their way over to the states from Japan I tried to be resolute in avoiding starting a new collection that would be sure to drain my bank account. So, seven Tsum Tsum later I have a small collection that will be getting larger with the newly announced line from Disney Parks.

April 15th will see the Haunted Mansion collection come to Disney Parks. The hitchhiking ghosts and the rest of the mansion characters look adorable in Tsum Tsum form. Later this summer a Fantasyland collection will also be making their way to the parks. A horse from the carousel, the hippo from 'it's a small world', a Philharmagic Mickey and Minnie and what might be the ultimate Tsum Tsum, Mr. Toad.

Look for these Tsum Tsum in the parks, on the app or on the Disney online store.

Magic Kingdom 45th Anniversary Merchandise Artwork Revealed

October 1st, 2016 marks the 45th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. An of course Disney will have plenty of merchandise to help you celebrate the occasion.

As you can see in the gallery below the aesthetic of the event will have a very "vintage" feel. I personally love the way it looks. There will no doubt be countless t-shirts, mugs, pins, hats and other merchandise to purchase with the style on it this fall.

New Details on Star Wars Offerings at Hollywood Studios

Disney has released some new details and even given a sneak peek to some of the new Star Wars offerings that will be coming to Hollywood Studios starting December 1st. As the studios transforms over the next few years, guests will be desperate for options. Thankfully these new temporary and non-temporary attractions will provide adequate distractions from the endless construction walls.

Star Wars Launch Bay, which replaces the Animation Pavilion, will be host to all things Star Wars. Special exhibits and behind the scenes peeks of the Force Awakens will be there in time for the film's opening. Of course there will be all the special merchandise your little wallets can endure as well as new meet-and-greets for Chewbacca and Darth Vader.

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue will have several updated scenes from the Force Awakens, including a scene with the Millennium Falcon that looks very similar to one from the first trailer. You can see a sneak peek of that part below. If you ride during the first few months you'll be guaranteed to see the new scenes. After that they will fall into the the randomizer.

The Jedi Training Academy will be returning as Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple in early December. The new stage show will still feature Darth Vader but will now also feature the "Seventh Sister" who is a new character from Star Wars Rebels.

Unfortunately, the construction at the park means there will be no Star Wars Weekends this year or possibly ever again, depending on the direction Disney wants to go after the expansion is open. While these offerings are mere peanuts to the massive 14-acre expansion planned for the coming years, they are a necessary addition to a park that will need a lot of help for some time.

WonderGround Gallery Expanding at Marketplace Co-Op

The WonderGround Gallery kiosk inside the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs will be getting a full expansion in March.

WonderGround has had a dedicated location in Disneyland's Downtown Disney district since 2012 and features unique artwork from Disney contracted artists. Shortly after the Marketplace Co-Op opened in Walt Disney World the small stand was added the middle of the shopping venue. It featured a small assortment of prints and other goods with featured art.

Starting next month The WonderGround Gallery will takeover the makeup boutique, Beautifully Disney. Disney designed the Co-Op to always be changing and this marks the first big change to the space. I'm glad they are following through with the idea, I could easily have seen them keep the same locations for multiple years. Though, I will be upset if the Centerpiece location is removed. Disney has called the space a testing ground, so Beautifully Disney, Centerpiece or any of the other locations could turn into their own dedicated store fronts elsewhere in Disney Springs if they prove popular.
