Universal still has a few more tricks up their sleeve before Diagon Alley opens to the public sometime before the end of June. Just announced on their blog are several new experiences coming to the new Potter land.
First are shows found around Diagon Alley similar to the Frog Choir. A troupe of four will preform stories from The Tales of Beedle the Bard, “The Fountain of Fair Fortune” and “The Tale of the Three Brothers." That show will use props and puppetry fabricated by Emmy-award-winning designer Michael Curry.
The Singing Sorceress: Celestina Warbeckand the Banshees will be belting out jazzy songs that actually expand the store of the Potter universe. J.K Rowling created the titles of the songs and wrote new information to be used in the lyrics.
Universal is, for whatever reason, copying Disney's Disney Dollars scheme with Wizarding Bank Notes that you can exchange at Gringotts Money Exchange. The currency can be used all around the two theme parks. Should make a nice souvenir.
Outside of Diagon Alley in London you can meet the driver of the Knight Bus and his shrunken head companion.
Sounds like a lot of great atmosphere adding to a land dripping with atmosphere just from the structures alone. Who's excited for the impending opening?
