Diagon Alley seems to be coming in a little close to it's original intended opening date. As the Hogwarts Express begins testing and the dragon atop Gringotts goes into place just days ago Universal is revealing some details of what you'll have to snack on in the land once it finally opens.
The highlight of the news is Butterbeer flavored ice cream. Unfortunately I have yet to taste Butterbeer, or even visit the Wizarding World, but after hearing the overwhelmingly positive reviews it is easily one of the things I'm most excited to try. Now Butterbeer ice cream is on that list as well. Butterbeer will join a host of other creative flavors at Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour. Expect long waits to get in there.
In addition to new beverages available in the Leaky Cauldron there will be a drink card located in Horizont Alley called Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment. Think of it as a Coke Freestyle machine for the wizarding set. You'll choose an elixir and add it to Gillywater and watch the magic happens as it transforms, cool stuff.
If you want a meal in Diagon Alley, the Leaky Cauldron is your place. There is a variety of classic British pub food. Universal parks blog has full details of the menu as well of the rest of the Diagon Alley menus.
