24 Hour Days Planned for Walt Disney World and Disneyland

In what is becoming an annual event, Disney has planned 24-hour days for the Magic Kingdom and DIsneyland. Unlike past years which had a unifying theme for parks on both coasts, things this year are being separated.

In Walt Disney World the festivities take place at the Magic Kingdom. Unlike Disneyland which includes California Adventure, Epcot is still not included unfortunately. Beginning May 22nd at 6 a.m. and lasting until 6 a.m. on May 23rd. There are not many specifics announced yet for the day itself but the event will be considered the start of the "Coolest Summer Ever" happening resort wide all season.

Frozen Summer Fun will be returning to Hollywood Studios June 17th to September 7th. Disney is also mentioning Star Wars Weekends, new shopping and dining options in DIsney Springs and the new water park hopper option as part of the "Coolest Summer Ever".

Disneyland guests have a bit more to get excited about. The event is being called a kick off to the 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration. Those in attendance will the first to see the Paint the Night Parade, the new World of Color show and the Disneyland Forever fireworks. That all happens at the same time, May 22nd-23rd 6 a.m.-6 a.m..

I'd love to attend one of these events at some point in the future. The plans for the Magic Kingdom this year don't sound all that exciting. As for Disneyland, I'm getting claustrophobic just thinking of how crowded that will be. Are you planning to attend this year?
