Disney is set to debut its latest attraction on March 7th. No it's not Avatar land or Star Wars land, it's Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters. The new ride replaces Luigi's Flying Tires which debuted with Cars Land at Disney California Adventure.
The new ride puts you in the middle of Luigi's family reunion as they dance behind his tire shop. The most interesting part about this new attraction is that it is the first trackless ride system to come to a domestic Disney park. Previously the revolutionary system has been found in Tokyo Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland. The system enables the cars to glide all over the dance floor very smoothly and continually change patterns and interact with other vehicles.
While this ride does not look incredibly thrilling, I am most interested to see how Disney implements this ride system in the future. How could you see the trackless ride system being used and which attractions would you like to see converted to it?
